In the run-up to admission campaign-2018 to Ukrainian universities, we have decided to address the issue of teenagers’ growing up, their desire of getting older and stepping into adulthood. As a result, our brain child emerged focusing on the story of Identity Beta.
The main character of our story is a teenage girl who tries on the images of an adult, imperious woman on the roof of a big city. She doesn’t have a clear understanding of how adult life, which takes place down there in the midst of the city, will accept her. But on her cozy roof she is self-confident and self-sufficient. She accepts herself in these images and she is ready to take a chance and go down.
For this photoshoot we have chosen the terrace of a new Kiev photo studio called Upstairs Studio. The dramatic story was emphasized by the overcast rainy weather. Varvara Barto, a stylist, was working on the images using vintage items and clothes of Ukrainian designers to transform our main female character.
